Black Bean Soup


1-2 Servings


1 - 15 oz Can Black Beans and Liquid

1 Tbsp Olive OIl 

1 tsp Chicken Stock

2 Tbsp Chopped Onion

2 Tbsp Chopped Celery

2 Tbsp Burgundy or Red Wine

2 cups Water (or 1 can of water)

Optional:  Add Ham or Bacon Hock for added flavor or

 even a few slices of cooked bacon cut up into pieces.


Saute Onion and Celery in Olive OIl until tender.

Add remaining ingredients, bring to a Boil, and then reduce to simmer.

Cook thoroughly  30 minutes.

If soup is too thick, add more water.


End of Cooking Process, add 1 tsp Sebastiano's Spicy Sicilian MIx or other flavor of your choice.


Serve topped with a little Sour Cream & Chopped Onion, if desired.
